KTCL suspends service of 24 buses to MH following strike

Panaji: Following Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) employees going on a strike demanding hike in wages, the Goa government run Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) has suspended services of its 24 buses to the neighbouring State.

KTCL operates 34 buses along the routes of, Mumbai, Solapur, Shirdi Pune, Vengurla, Sawantwadi, Malvan, Vijaydurgh, Mirit, Sanghli and Kholapur.

It has suspended services of 24 buses plying to Vengurla, Sawantwadi, Malvan, Vijaydurgh, Mirit, Sanghli and Kholapur, in a bid to ensure safety of passengers and the vehicle.

The ten buses, plying at night to Mumbai, Solapur, Shirdi and Pune will continue the service.

KTCL general manager Sanjay Ghate said that they have suspended the services of 24 buses as a part of safety.

Ghate said that non-operational of buses will result into revenue loss of around Rs 3.5 lakhs per day.
