Margao: An event at Canacona on Sunday has become a bone of contention between Congress and Goa Forward Party.
On Monday, Congress leader Janardhan Bhandari circulated pictures of the event on Sunday terming it as “Jana Bhai’s 2nd Shram Parihar Sneha Mohalla”.
Bhandari circulated the message across the media groups claiming that the event was attended by hundreds of hardcore workers/well-wishers/like-
Bhandari’s press note mentioned that Goa Forward President Vijai Sardesai assured to raise burning issues of Canacona in Goa Assembly. Various issues affecting Canacona were also discussed, he added.
Within minutes of some websites (not GNH) carrying the news, GFP General Secretary Durgadas Kamat tweeted “This was not a Shram Parihar Sneha Shohalla of any candidate or any party. This was purely an interaction of our @Goaforwardparty President @VijaiSardesai ban on the various issues concerning Canacona in view of upcoming assembly session with Canconkars. Janardan Bab, photos should not be misused.”
