Israeli flight makes emergency landing at Goa Airport on Monday

Panaji: An Israeli flight of EL AI Airlines flying from Bangkok to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing at Goa airport during wee hours of Monday, a senior official said.

 

Goa Airport Director Gagan Malik said that all the 250 passengers who were travelling on the flight were flown to Tel Aviv on Tuesday by alternate aircraft which landed at Goa Airport.

 

He said that at around 4 am on Monday, Israeli flight EL AI Airlines flying from Bangkok to Tel Aviv with 250 passengers on board had to make emergency landing.

 

He said that the pilot noticed fuel leak indicator of the Boeing 787 Aircraft and as per protocol had to shut down the affected engine and call for the emergency landing.

 

He said that the permission for emergency landing was granted by the Goa Airport.

 

Malik said that all the 250 passengers flew to Tel Aviv by alternate flight which was arranged to them on Tuesday at 4 pm.
