Chimbel/Zuarinagar: Bollywood Star Isha Koppikar has said that she was inspired from the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which encouraged her to join politics.
She said that the people and the film industry has given her lot of love, and she wants to give it back to the society through society. The actress was in Goa where she addressed two election meetings, one at Chimbel and another at Zuarinagar.
“I am connected with Goa as my family deity is from this State. I am happy that I am here to campaign for BJP,” she said adding that she was happy to get be associated with the party which has welfare of country at its heart.
She said that PM Narendra Modi was her inspiration to join politics. “I feel that whatever modiji has done, he has identified the issues and started solving it,” she commented.
The actress recalled Manohar Parrikar and his contribution to the country and the State.
“I am feeling sad that he is not there amongst us. But his work is with us and because of him we have seen major upgradation in the infrastructural facilities of Goa,” she said pointing out to the construction of ‘Atal Setu.’
“I want that all of us should fulfil the dream of Parrikar,” she commented.
