Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday became nostalgic while addressing the youths recalling how he gave away an opportunity to become a gazetted officer to plunge into politics.
“I passed my 12th science from GVM higher secondary. I let go Class one gazette post so that I can enter politics,” Sawant said addressing youth at Ponda taluka.
He said he didn’t let go because it occurred to him in his dreams that he will be the CM, or it occurred to him that he will become an MLA. “But I surely had a dream to become the MLA and the Chief Minister of the State,” he said.
Referring to the criticism of the government, Sawant said “You often criticize the Government of Goa. Then you show a thumbs up and do a lot other things (online in support of this criticism).”
He said that there is nothing wrong in that. “I am not worried about that. But I am worried that you don’t know on which site can you find information about various government schemes,” he said.
Sawant said that he is not worried about being trolled. “I am not worried about the criticism. But I am worried about my Youth who is on different Social media platforms most of the time (still don’t know where to find the information.),” he added.
The chief minister urged the youths to go through Know Your Scheme section on Goa online portal has listed down 162 schemes which they can search for sitting at your home.
Corrupt Government Officials are the reason for Goans sufferings. They take months or even years to pass one simple file of Goans, which require only few days to pass. Without bribes they even not looking at the Goans face, forget about completing the file of the Goans. Whenever Goans goes to the office, next chair employee says that he or She is on outdoor work. But actually he or she is at home or doing some of its personal business outdoor. They must be punctual and if he or she is gone out or on leave then there must be a replacement to sign or work on his or her behalf.
