Panaji, 29th October 2024 : The GTDC Staff Welfare Association organized a special felicitation ceremony to honor the exceptional academic achievements of the children of GTDC employees. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar, MLA of Sanvordem and Chairman of GTDC, who presented certificates and cash prizes to the meritorious students. Dr. Gaonkar commended the students for their hard work and perseverance, highlighting the pivotal role of education in shaping their futures. He also extended his best wishes to the retired staff and expressed gratitude for their committed service to the corporation.
Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director Tourism & Managing Director GTDC also extended his wishes acknowledging the achievements of GTDC employees’ children in different examinations and the dedicated service of its retired staff members.
Senior officials in attendance included Shri Laxmikant Vaigankar, General Manager of GTDC and President of the Staff Welfare Association; Shri Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager (Marketing) and Secretary of the Association; Shri Kapil Painguinkar, General Manager and Vice President of the Association; Shri Sachin Gore, General Manager; Shri Sandeep Gawas, Deputy General Manager; Smt Amita Desai, Senior Manager; Shri Anil Dalal, Manager; and Smt Deepa Sawkar, Assistant Manager. GTDC staff and their proud family members were also present, making it a heartwarming and memorable occasion.
During the ceremony, Shri Deepak Narvekar served as the event’s compere, shedding light on the association’s activities for the welfare of employees’ children and the recognition of retired staff. Shri Laxmikant Vaigankar delivered the welcome address, congratulating both the students and the retired staff members.
Retired staff members, including Francis Pereira (Senior Manager), Alzira Gomes (Manager), and Devidas Gauns Desai, along with student awardee Shrutika Suresh Naik, shared their thoughts during the function. The GTDC Staff Welfare Association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and recognizing the contributions and achievements of the GTDC family, fostering a spirit of unity and encouragement.
