PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar today said that government needs Rs 1600 crore- Rs 800 each in North and South Goa, to replace the old water pipelines.
He said that department is working towards replacing old AC and PVC pipelines across State. “We have worked out different estimate for North and South Goa. We need Rs 800 crores each to implement the project,” he said.
Minister said that PWD has already signed agreement with Portugal government towards maintenance of these new pipelines.
He said that the pipelines will be fitted with SCADA meters.
