Govt to install Automated Tracking Device to 65k transport vehicles

Panaji: The Goa Electronics Limited (GEL) on behalf of Transport department today invited request for proposal (RFP)for supply and installation of Automated Tracking Device (ATD) with an integrated emergency system in 65,000 transport vehicles.

The RFP in two bid format comprising of Technical and Financial Bids for “Supply, Installation and Maintenance of ATD with an Integrated Emergency System in Transport Vehicles”, is been invited.

The scope of the work for bidder will include supply, installation and commissioning of the device in approximately 65,000 Transport Vehicles across the state of Goa and maintenance of the installed device to run smoothly for a period of one year warranty, which is mandatory.

GEL will be the Monitoring Agency for the entire project period of five years.

The device supplied should be able to transfer the vehicle movement data on a periodical basis to the CTRS (Central Tracking Response System) application developed by GEL, installed at SDC (State Data Centre), through GPRS and GPS devices.

This data will be accessed through web based application namely CTRS from the nominated control rooms i.e. the nearest police station, the police control room, the MHA control room and DOT.
