Panaji: State government has granted administrative and expenditure sanction of Rs 60 crore to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) for setting up of 500-bedded superspeciality block in its premise.
In an order issued, Under Secretary Trupti Manerkar has said that the administrative approval and expenditure sanction of the government is conveyed to the Dean of GMC for release of Rs 60 crores in twelve installments of Rs 5 crore each towards setting up of Superspeciality block in GMC under phase II of Pradhan Mantri Swasthy Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) scheme.
The foundation stone for the Rs 350 crore project was laid in February, 2018.
