Panaji: State Government has introduced Human Resource development scheme in agriculture sector, in a bid to boost the farmers.
The schemes aims at encouraging farmers in upgrading their skills, technology dissemination, capacity building through training and visits across State to get knowledge of various developmental schemes in the agriculture.
The farmers cultivating the land, which is their own or leased out or rented, students studying agriculture subject, co-operative societies are eligible to take benefit of the scheme
Under the scheme, financial support for education in agriculture and allied subjects would be also provided.
