Porvorim: After highest number of deaths, that is 12, reported on Monday due to COVID-19 infection in the State, Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte has alleged that “Goan citizens are losing their lives at govt-run hospitals due to lack of infrastructure.”
Khaunte took on to tweeter to express his discontent over the unprecedented number of deaths on Monday, with patient as young as 24-year-old losing his life to the virus.
“After being advertised nation-wide as ‘green zone’, Goa is breaking the record for its daily spike in coronavirus cases and deaths caused by COVID-19. While the high and mighty are able to afford themselves the best of the treatment at private hospitals, Goan citizens are losing their lives at govt-run hospitals due to lack of infrastructure. This is a total administrative failure of Dr Pramod P Sawant govt! My prayers for the families of patients who are battling with the virus and those who have lost their loved ones to it.”
