Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday announced that the state government will have dedicated AYUSH department.
He was speaking during concluding session of World Ayurveda Congress in presence of PM Narendra Modi.
Sawant said that AYUSH doctors from across the country participated in the WAC. Sawant said that the All India Institute of Ayurveda that would be inaugurated at Dhargal in Goa will have 50 per cent reservation in seats for Goans.
He said that AYUSH ministry is commissioning projects worth thousands of crores of rupees on a single day. Sawant said that all the encouragement and global outreach given to AYUSH was possible only because of the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.
The chief minister also announced that Goa will have a separate department of AYUSH in the state government which will be dedicated towards AYUSH doctors.
