Panaji: Senior Congress leader Agnelo Fernandes has alleged that Port Minister Minister Michael Lobo was supporting adding of another off-shore casino vessel in River Mandovi.
He told reporters that another vessel, bigger than the existing ones, will be added to the fleet in River Mandovi. Fernandes said that Lobo was helping in getting the new off shore casino vessel.
The Congress leader said that while Captain of Port allows vesse only with 90 metres length, the new vessel has exceeded it. “If this casino is allowed to anchor in the River, it will lead to the blockage,” he said.
He claimed that Lobo was helping the casino owner to construct an illegal jetty to ferry the passengers.
