Goa Rajya Vidnyanik Puraskar 2024-25 to Recognize Outstanding Goan Innovators and Scientists

Panaji, April 16, 2025 – The Goa Rajya Vidnyanik Puraskar (GRVP) 2024-25, instituted by the Government of Goa through the Department of Science & Technology and Waste Management (DST&WM), will be conferred by Minister for Science & Technology Atanasio Monserrate. The award ceremony will take place in the esteemed presence of Jose Manuel Noronha, Chairman, Goa State Innovation Council (GSInC), and Ankit Yadav, IAS, Director, DST&WM.

The Goa Rajya Vidnyanik Puraskar is an annual recognition established to encourage, identify, and honour outstanding scientists and innovators whose work has led to transformative and impactful outcomes, especially in the context of local adoption within Goa. The initiative also aims to share their success stories to inspire a culture of innovation among the youth and research community in the state.

The award scheme focuses on promoting innovation by leveraging Goa’s core strengths, natural resources, and intellectual capital, encouraging participation from educational institutions, R&D organizations, MSMEs, and individual innovators. The GRVP includes three award categories – Innovation, Environment, and Societal Impact – with each recipient receiving a cash prize of ₹2,00,000.
