Goa govt ties up with Jio Embibe for online teaching

Panaji: Goa government has signed an MoU with ed-tech platform Jio Embibe for adaptive learning based on the Artificial Intelligence for the students, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told the House on Wednesday.

In a written reply tabled on the floor of the House, responding to a question by BJP MLA Atanasio Monserratte, Sawant has said that State Education Department has signed an MoU with Jio Embibe for adaptive learning based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the students of Class sixth to twelfth standard an exclusive portal for learning subjects mathematics and Science which presently students and teachers are using.

“Most of the video conferencing platform like Google Meet, Webex, JIO meet etc. have extended their services during pandemic free of cost. Hence there was a freedom to teachers and students to choose the best platform which has got different features of control and connectivity,” the Chief Minister, who is also holding Education Portfolio, told the House.

“In addition, Department has also signed an MoU with Eduisfun Technologies for giving gamified digital learning app called STEPapp to make learning of Maths and Science interesting for the benefit of students of class VI to XII. Both the programmes were implemented during Academic year 2020-21 free of cost,” he added.
