Panaji: All the new executive members of Goa Government Employees Association were elected unopposed on Saturday even as the association refused that the members were not taken into confidence.
Association President Prashant Devidas told reporters that the new committee has been elected unopposed for a term of 2022-24. The General Body meeting of the Association was held on Saturday.
He rubbished allegations that the members were not taken into confidence.
Devidas said that for the total 15 posts, only 14 nominations were received due to which the members were declared elected unopposed.
He said that the election was held after following all the procedures including advertising it on the newspaper.
