Canacona: The Goa Cricket Association will distribute Cricket Kit to all Schools from Canacona on June 05, informed the Executive Committee of the GCA.
GCA will very soon distribute kits to Schools from other talukas as well, and the dates will announced soon, remarked GCA Secretary Vipul Phadke at this occasion.
“The long-pending dream of school children from Canacona is going to be fulfilled by the GCA in association with BCCI’, disclosed GCA Vice President Shamba Naik Desai the Vice President of Goa Cricket Association.
A total of seventeen schools from Canacona had participated in the GCA U-14 and U-16 tournaments during the 2019-2020 season. Children from these schools receive the cricket kits in the presence of along the school Physical Education (PE) teachers on Friday, 05.06.2020 at 11.00 am at Shree Mallikarjun High School, Char Rasta, Canacona, Goa.
The students will receive the kits at the hands of Chief Guest Mr. Mahendra Desai – Chairman of Shree Mallikarjun High School, Mr. Rajendra Desai – President of Shree Mallikarjun Devasthan, Mr. Chetan Desai – Ex-President Goa Cricket Association and Mr. Shamba Naik Desai – Vice President of Goa Cricket Association
Mr. Shamba Naik Desai has urged all attending the function to observe the conditions laid down by Government to continue our fights against COVID-19.
All are requested to wear masks and take all prescribed precautions during function including social distancing.
The Hon Treasurer and the Jt Secretary of GCA were also present at the occasion.
