Pernem Police have arrested 03 accused persons for committing theft of mobile phones.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi in the month of July 2021 an FIR was registered against unknown persons for committing theft of 02 mobile phones of Mr. Siddhesh Khorjuvekar R/o Chapora, Bardez Goa by smashing the wind shield of his car.
Accordingly during investigation no clue came forth for last 03 months, however upon carrying out electronic surveillance and gathering intelligence Pernem Police finally managed to nab 03 accused persons today I.e on 26 /10/2021 namely. 1. Sankesh Laxman Chodankar R/o Calangute, 2. Phurbu Ringi Singe R/o Calangute N/o Nepal and 3. Mohan Lal Bahadur Thapa R/o Candolim N/o Nepal and recovered both mobile phones worth Rs. 1,30,000/-.
Accused Mr Sankesh Chodankar was earlier arrested twice by Pernem Police in theft cases.
The team carrying out successful arrest of accused consisted of PI Jivba Dalvi, PSI Praful Giri, Constables Sagar Khorjuvekar, Arjun Kalangutkar, Sandesh Varak, and Vinod Pednekar.
Further investigation is in progress.
