St Andre: Four members of Siridao-Palem village panchayat on Friday moved no confidence motion against Sarpanch Jagdish Gawas accusing of misappropriating the panchayat funds. The Sarpanch is backed by local MLA Francis Silveira.
The no confidence motion notice was issued by four out of seven panch members. The motion is signed by Vasudeo Kunkolienkar, Camilo Marques, Antonio Afonso and Melanie De Souza.
The panch members have demanded that Director of Panchayat should immediately call for the meeting to vote on no confidence motion. They say that there should not be delay as Sarpanch has lost trust of the panchayat body.
