Four arrested in Goa for kidnapping, raping minor girl

Panaji: Goa police on Wednesday arrested four persons for kidnapping and raping a minor girl in the port town of Vasco.

Vasco Police Inspector Kapil Nayak told reporters on Wednesday that all the four accused had on different occasion raped 17-year-old girl, who had gone missing from her house on August 11.

The mother of the victim had filed missing complaint after the minor went missing from her house. Nayak said that during the investigation, the minor girl was tracked within Vasco police station jurisdiction.

During interrogation, the girl stated that she was raped by four different accused on various occasions. The accused also included the driver, who was employed by her family.

Nayak said that accused – Mukund Rawal (35), Guruvenkatesh Guruswamy (30), Kush Jaiswal (30) and Aftar Hussain (23) – were arrested by Vasco police.

He said that all the accused were booked under section 376 of IPC, POCSO Act and Goa Children’s Act.
