Panaji: The Department of Printing and Stationery launched series III of the E-Gazette/ E-Publishing Portal on 08th March 2024 at ESG, Panaji, in the presence of the Honorable Minister for Tourism, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Printing and Stationery Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, Director of Printing and Stationery Sarita Gadgil, and the CEO and Executive Director of Goa Electronics Limited, Government of Goa Ms. Revati Kumar. This was seen as a significant step forward to revamp the conventional method of publication of the Government of Goa Gazette to a paperless, eco–friendly, e-publication mode, making it more convenient and transparent for both the citizens as well as Departments.
The Honorable Minister for Tourism, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Printing and Stationery Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte expressed, “The scope of the E-Gazette portal is to allow the Government Departments and Public to upload notifications, notices, and other information that required publication in the Gazette, directly onto the portal. We are committed to delivering citizen-centric services through this initiative. Expressing gratitude to CM Dr. Pramod Sawant for the timely implementation of the E-Gazette, ensuring the delivery of enhanced and improved services.”
Additionally, the proposed Goa E-Gazette Portal was a comprehensive digital directory of all the official gazettes. The online portal would also facilitate public access and download of Gazette notifications issued by the government of Goa.
