FDA seized 3,000 kgs of substandard cashew at Calangute

Calangute: Ahead of Diwali season, Food and Drugs Administration seized 3,000 kilograms of substandard cashew at Pirnawado, Calangute on Monday.

 

FDA has booked Avinash Pawar from Maharashtra in the connection with the case.

The officials said that the cashews were highly substandard and were stocked in a flat at Calangute.

 

The raid was conducted by designated officer Richard Noronha, Senior Food Safety Officer Rajaram Patil, Food Safety Officer Vishwasrao Rane and others.
