FDA raids Goa Dairy

Ponda: The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) today raided premise of Goa Dairy at Curti Ponda after a complaint of adulteration.

The FDA has prohibited Goa dairy from sale of 71 milk bags weighting 25 kgs, until the results of samples collected is out.

Based on the complaint received from a milk vendor, the FDA team inspected the premise. It was alleged  that skimmed milk powder purchased and used by the dairy is adulterated.

Accordingly, the food safety officers have drawn samples of analysis of milk powder found in possession of the dairy.

FDA has said that the further action against the establishment will depend upon the results of samples.
