Ponda: While state government’s inefficiency was the main reason for farmers to abondon their profession in the past, the change is visible in Ponda taluka.
The constant efforts by Agriculture minister Vijai Sardesai and his team in the department has helped the farmers to get back to their farms.
“Vijai Sardesai has really made things easy in agriculture. We farmers in Ponda are planning to start cultivating the fields again which were left barren for years,” said Anand Naik.
He said that the agriculture department is very open and positive towards the farmers now, which was not the situation in the past.
