Panaji: Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Friday said that there is equally strong opinion of the people that Goa Miles should not be scrapped and there should be competition amongst the Taxi operators.
Godinho also ruled out the possibility of scrapping Goa Miles claiming that if he does it, then the Cab aggregator company will approach the Court against the Administrative Order.
He said that the Taxi Operators cannot shy away from installing meters as they are already in contempt of the High Court.
Godinho said that he has been receiving several messages through social media which urges that Goa Miles should not be scrapped as the competition has to be required in the business.
