Panaji : Dr Oscar Rebello has expressed his disappointment in Goans who have shown lethargy and negligence in observing SOPs as well as the gravity of the Covid19 pandemic. “Doctors at GMC are completely exhausted physically as well as mentally, we have seen too many deaths of young as well as old” lamented Dr Rebello.
“Why is it so difficult to observe SOPs and not move out of the house unnecessarily?” asks Rebello. “Even though the situation is critical we see many people participating in wedding ceremonies, club parties and casinos which is quite unfortunate” said Dr Rebello.
This year according to Dr Rebello even young patients are succumbing to deaths, loss of a loved one is the greatest loss anyone can have. “Nobody has a right to spread the virus and cause someone’s death merely because of his/her negligence” he asserted.
Dr Rebello inferred that this year the situation is so bad that even in private hospitals they have to keep patients on the ground, while also facing lack of oxygen. “Please should not assemble in large gatherings for the next 15 days otherwise you will lose a loved one” requested Dr Rebello.
