Panaji: Director of Health Services Dr Sanjiv Dalvi suffered minor injuries when a doctor attached to Canacona health centre attacked him with a sharp weapon inside his chamber at Campal in Panaji.
The doctor who is identified as Venkatesh R has been outsourced the work of conducting dialysis at Canacona health centre. Incident happened this afternoon inside the chamber of Dalvi.
Dalvi was taken for medical examination by Panaji police who have detained the accused, who was found to be carrying a weapon while entering the chamber. The accused told media persons that he attacked Dalvi due to the pending bills with the DHS which are not being cleared.
