Goa Education Society of Fatorpa’s Devappa Desai High School organized ‘Swacchata Ki Seva’ with great enthusiasm. The program began with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
The wallpaper entitled “The Two Legends of Truth and Peace” was unveiled at the hands of the Headmistress Smt. Mangala Desai.
Students delivered speeches and presented monologue of cleanliness. The Headmistress addressed the students and briefed the contributions of Gandhiji and Shastri for the cause of freedom. She advised students to practice cleanliness and follow Gandhiji’s principles of Truth and Non-violence in their life. She later led the students to take the oath for a clean and green India.
Students marched the streets of Fatorpa creating awareness to keep the surroundings clean followed by a cleanliness drive in the school premises.
