Margao : Cuncolim Trader’s Association has written to Chief Officer of Cuncolim Municipal Council to restrict/temporarily close down the Sunday market. “with the rising COVID -19 cases in the state and in particularly in our Cuncolim municipal area, we would like to request you to restrict or temporarily close down the Sunday market (mingrant0 Vendors)” wrote the Secretary of the Cuncolim Trader’s Association.
The request was made after the association conducted an inspection o the Sunday market and they found it to be very congested.
“people did neither maintain social distancing nor wore face mask thereby making the market prone to the deadly virus” wrote the association in the letter .
