COVID19 UPDATE: One new case, one discharge, tally stands at 31

Panaji: Goa reported a fresh case of COVID-19 infection on Thursday, while one of the positive patient who was treated at the designated hospital recovered during the day.

State Health Department officials said that state has reported 69 cases of COVID-19 infection of which 31 are active while 38 have recovered after the treatment at ESI hospital, which has been designated to treat coronavirus patients.

A patient who tested positive on Thursday had arrived in Goa by a road from Mumbai. “His condition is stable,” the official said.

Another COVID-19 patient who was taking treatment at ESI hospital has been cured and shifted to a quarantine facility where he would be kept under observation for next 14 days, the official said.

During the day, the state tested 983 samples of which 886 are negative, one was positive while reports of 96 patients are awaited.
