Panaji: Congress leaders in Goa on Friday hailed the Supreme Court verdict on Rahul Gandhi case, reinstating him as a Member of Parliament.
State Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao said that the verdict is a victory of democracy and the people of India.
“We are thankful to the supreme court. The basis on which Rahul Gandhi was disqualified was completely wrong,” he said. Alemao said that the verdict is a victory for democracy and the people of India.
“Our leader (Gandhi) went from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to spread the love and denounce the hatred,” he said.
Alemao said that the new picture is emerging for India. “You all will see that in 2024 polls, INDIA will emerge,” he added.
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar tweeted “My leader @RahulGandhi the voice of Indians will be back in the Parliament. Yeh Nafrata ke khilaf Mohabbat ki Jeet Hai. Satyamev Jayate.”
