Adv. Aires Rodrigues has today filed a written complaint before Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai that the Goa Lokayukta Ambadas Joshi has been very high-handedly wrongly styling himself as Justice A.H.Joshi despite the fact that a retired Judge at the highest can only present himself as Justice (retd).
Giving Governor Pillai a copy of a recent order dated 22nd February 2022 wherein the Lokayukta has styled himself as ‘Justice A.H.Joshi’ Adv. Rodrigues in his petition to the Governor today has stated that only a sitting Supreme Court or High Court Judge can style himself as ‘Justice’, and that it was a mockery that Ambadas Joshi was knowingly breaching the laid down protocol and established practice.
Stating that it was also very unfortunate that the Goa Lokayukta who is a high constitutional authority had dared to misrepresent himself by calling himself ‘Justice’ which he cannot, Adv. Rodrigues in his representation has sought Governor Pillai’s immediate intervention to direct the Lokayukta to immediately stop misrepresenting himself as Justice A.H. Joshi and henceforth rightly present himself as Justice (retd) A.H.Joshi.
