Panaji : Government of Goa on world environment day launched the distribution of free tree saplings. These saplings will be available at the Forest Department’s nursery. Every persona will be allowed to take a maximum of five saplings.
‘The magical immunity herbs’ have been introduced by the government. These too will be available at the department at free of cost.
CM Pramod Sawant has also promoted afforestation through this initiative in today’s tweet he said “Goa Government’s focus is on sustainable development, ensuring that the green cover of the state is protected. Urging people to come forward and collect the plants from the nearest nursery and connect with the Government in this movement”
The plants are also made available to the public at the department’s territorial divisions at Mapusa, Ponda, Quepem, Canacona and Margao.
