Panaji: A day after a senior minister demanded reshuffle in the cabinet, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday ruled out any such move.

Sawant said that it is not for the senior minister but to decide about the cabinet reshuffle. “There is no discussion about cabinet reshuffle. The minister never discussed the issue with me,” he said.

“It is not for the minister but for the party to decide about the cabinet reshuffle,” the chief minister said.

State Ports Minister Micheal Lobo on Tuesday had demanded that Sawant-led cabinet should be reshuffled replacing inefficient members with those who can perform.

He had said that such a correction in the cabinet was required considering the fact that Goa is heading for general election in the year 2022.
