Porvorim: After being dropped from State Cabinet, Deputy Chief Minister and Senior MGP MLA Sudin Dhavalikar on Wednesday termed the act of merging two of his legislators into BJP as “dacoity by chaukidars.”
Dhavalikar was dropped from the State cabinet by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
“People are zapped the way, in the middle of the night, Chaukidars conducted dacoity on MGP,” said Dhavalikar, who has been part of BJP-led alliance since the year 2012.
Dhavalikar has been holding Transport and Public Works Department portfolios under the leadership of Manohar Parrikar, Laximikant Parsekar and Pramod Sawant. His party has post-poll alliance with BJP in the State.
Seemingly disturbed over the political events, Dhavalikar said “people are watching and they (people) will decide their course of action considering this moment.”
He said that MGP has been a party of masses and it will not get eliminated with such moves.
