Panaji: Showering praises for Narendra Modi led NDA government at the Centre, Goa Minister Ramakrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar thanked the Centre for sanctioning various developmental projects amounting to Rs 30,000 crore for the State over last four years.
Speaking to reporters, Dhavalikar said that of the total 30,000 crores sanctioned to Goa, Rs 15,000 crores were for public works department alone.
He said that while works worth Rs 8000 crores are in progress, another Rs 7000 crores proposals have got in-principle approval.
“As the Narendra Modi led NDA government completes four years in power, I would like to state that Centre has sanctioned various projects of nearly Rs 30,000 crores to Goa in last four years and the PWD is one of the biggest beneficiary with Rs 15,000 crore sanctions,” Minister said.
Dhavalikar informed that Centre has given in-principle approval for Rs 6000 crores project under Bharat Mala, wherein 220 kms of road stretch along the tourism areas would be upgraded.
“Also we have got sanction of Rs 800 crores for upgradation of 105 kms district road from Karaswada to Khandepar into National Highway,” he said.
Another Rs 239 crores are sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana and Rs 97 crores under Sagarmala projects, he said.
