Benaulim: In an important development, AAP MLA of Benaulim constituency Capt. Venzy Viegas today launched a “Good Health” clinic, the fist such clinic in Goa made on the lines of the world-famous Mohalla Clinic model of the AAP Govt in Delhi and Punjab.

Stating that it was just a myth that development is not possible without jumping to BJP, Viegas asserted that where there is a will, there is always a way.

“This is probably the first such public clinic in Goa with free consultation and medicines, that has been set up without any Govt funding or scheme. This was a promise made by Aam Aadmi Party during our election campaign, so it gives me great pleasure to have fulfilled it first here in Benaulim. With such initiatives getting huge positive response, it is only a matter of time that people all over Goa choose the AAP model of governance”, said Viegas.

Inaugurating the clinic on National Doctors’ Day, Viegas felicitated and thanked the doctors who will be part of the clinic, including Dr Avinash Anand (Onco & Laparoscopic Surgeon), Dr Vikas Dadhich (Orthopaedic Surgeon) and Dr Ralph Araujo (Medical Manager).

The clinic was blessed by Fr Eremito Coutinho of Our Lady of Patrocin chapel Benaulim. Also present on the occasion was AAP MLA Cruz Silva of Velim, the Sarpanchas of various villages of Benaulim constituency, as well as ZP member Hanzel Fernandes. A number of party leaders including Gerson Gomes, Ramrao Wagh, Valmiki Naik, Sandesh Telekar, Roque Fernandes, and Co-Observer from Delhi Mr. Chetan Raval, were present at the event.

Naik thanked Doctors on the occasion of Doctors Day, slamming the BJP Govt for letting down our GMC doctors during Covid so badly that they were forced them to issue an open letter exposing the various failures, especially during the oxygen crisis. Naik reminded that it was Aam Aadmi Party that had stepped up with oximeters, oxygen concentrators, doctor helpline, ration kits etc, and recalled that even the Goa branch of the IMA had acknowledged and praised AAP for its covid relief efforts.
Naik also praised Capt. Venzy’s efforts for setting up the clinic, stating that it was the first such clinic in Goa, and appealed to people of Benaulim to spread the message of AAP’s governance throughout Goa.
