Panaji: Power Minister Nilesh Cabral on Thursday said that the government will do all that is necessary to comfort and assist the family members of the employees who lost their lives in Borim accident, and also those who are recovering at GMC.
In a message released here, Cabral said “the accident today at Borim Goa involving the Goa Electricity Department vehicle transporting poles to replace the poles broken by nature’s fury ,wherein 3 of our employees were killed and 6 were badly injured ,has shocked the entire department.”
“My salutes to all the Departmental personnel who work in all kinds of conditions to give reliable power supply to the people of Goa,” he added.
“I am deeply saddened with the incident,” he said.
“During this time of grief, my sympathies , thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families.We also stand solidly with the injured personnel and their families,” the minister said.
“Government will do all that is necessary to comfort and assist the family members, whose loss we will not be able to compensate in real sense.
The Government is also committed to providing all medical care and facilities to the injured personnel so that they recovery very fast and resume duties,” he added.
