Panjim: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar has said that BJP’s frustration of losing its popularity in the country and also disrespectful behaviour towards women have been exposed through their “Hathras Ki Bhabhi” campaign against woman Congress leader Mrs Pratibha Borkar.
Chodankar said that the series of fake tweets and excitedly done retweets by BJP leaders and their cronies indicates how this Amit Shah-led party can stoop to the lowest level.
In their frustration, the BJP has picked up a photograph of a media briefing from Congress Headquarters in Goa to highlight Mrs Pratibha Borkar, who is Goa Social Media Department’s Co-convenor as sister-in-law of Hathras victim.
“It’s shame that BJP National Spokesperson Ms. Nupur Sharma also joins in spreading it on social media.”
Chodankar said that Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has filed a formal complaint with DGP Goa & Cybercrime Police Station today & we are waiting to see how police protects dignity of a woman.
He further said any inaction on the part of Goa Police to deal with the complaint would be counted as their support to the perpetrators of the crime.
“Hathras incident might sound like a joke for BJP which is disrespectful towards woman, but certainly it’s serious crime for Indian National Congress & yes, we all stand with family of Hathras victim,” he added.
