Margao: In order to ensure that there is no split in the group, all the BJP councilors from Margao municipal council will be kept in a starred resort at Betalbhatim.
Digambar Kamat led councilors and GFP’s Raju Naik has also joined the BJP group, giving clear majority for the party. The elections for the post of Chairperson is scheduled to be held on October 12.
The BJP is not ready to take any chance as during last time, some of the councilors had cross voted.
But the reason to take the councilors to separate destination is not known as GFP has already announced that they will not be fielding any candidate for the post of Chairperson.
