Canacona: The motorcycle pilots across the state are waiting for the revival of the pension scheme, which was introduced during the tenure of Manohar Parrikar-led government.
During our program BEFORE ASSEMBLY STARTS, we traveled to Canacona and met the pilots at Poinguinim, who told us that the scheme of providing Rs 2,000 as a monthly pension for them has stopped since long.
They have demanded that the scheme should be restarted. The scheme had also provision of providing Rs 5,000 per motorcycle pilot to repair his bike.
We expect that this issue should be taken up during the upcoming Assembly session.
