Porvorim: Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte has said that Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s autocratic nature and political pettiness has taken from Goa, it’s only hope – Governor Satya Pal Malik.
Khaunte tweeted “Again, @goacm’s autocratic nature and political pettiness has taken from Goa it’s only hope – Governor Satyapal Malik. Any opposition is considered a challenge to his autocracy and even constructive opposition which forms the basis of Democracy and Good Governance is being trampled upon.”
“He took tough decisions, was vocal against BJP’s irrational actions and critiqued incompetence of the govt at handling coronavirus cases in Goa. Importantly, he spoke in the favour of Goans. It was only a matter of days, this was waiting to happen.”
“This is also a warning to everyone who oppose the CMs autocratic methodology and Democracy is being replaced with Autocracy in Goa. I wish Hon’ble Governor Satyapal Malik ji best of luck for his service to Meghalaya and thank him for his contribution to Goa.”
