Arpora: In what seems to be the result of fight between the landlady and her servant, two people were found dead at Arpora village in North Goa, 10 kms away from here.
Anjuna Police have registered a case of murder after dead body of the landlady and her servant were recovered from a bungalow on Sunday.
Police Inspector Navlesh Desai said that the murders were part of the fight between both the deceased that apparently took place on Sunday.
Desai said that 65-year-old artist Shireen Mody and her gardener were found dead entered into a fatal scuffle. While Mody died on the spot, the gardener named Prafulla, hailing from Assam died due to a fall when he was trying to escape from the scene of offence.
He said that Mody was pronounced to be dead at Goa Medical College and Hospital near here and second deceased was taken to a District Hospital in Mapusa, where he was declared to be dead on arrival.
Desai said that the CCTV footage has confirmed the incident while neighbours have also given a statement that they had seen Prafulla trying to escape and falling down in the rush.
