Panaji: Consumer VOICE, New Delhi and National Organization for Tobacco Eradication, NOTE(India) jointly conducted a poster making competition on the occasion of “National Youth Day 2024”.
The program was conducted with support of Goa Education Development Corporation, Govt of Goa and PRABODHAN EDUCATION SOCIETY’S.
100 youths from Vidhya Prabhodini and 15 councellors of Goa Education Development Corporation participated in the poster making competetion based on the Say “NO TO TOBACCO” Remain healthy for youth participation in HEALTHY BHARAT campaign #AyushmanBharat theme, the empasis was on “creating stonger tobacco contorl laws”.
Dr Shekhar Salkar, President NOTE (India) and Mr Sanjay Walavalkar Chairman of Prabodhan Education Society presided as chief guest for the prize distribution ceremony, the youth engaged in creating posters depecting the impact of tobacco on society.
Dr Salkar urged the youth to stay vigilant on the bad effects of tobacco on health and refrain from engaging in any addictions.
Mr Vallabh Prabhu, faculty at Prabodhan Education Society thanked the youth for active participation in the competetion.
The program was co-ordinated by Dr, Devdutt Sail, Secretary NOTE (India).
