Panaji: GTDC approved cab aggregator ‘Goa Miles’ on Saturday said that the chances of COVID-19 infection in the state are high as the people travelling through flights and trains are not tested in their own state.
“I request State government that there should be guidelines or at least before confirming the train or flight ticket, they should be tested in their own state and only if they are negative they should be allowed to come,” Parashar Pai Khot, Director, Goa Miles told reporters in Margao while announcing reduction in their fares ahead of beginning of domestic flights on Monday.
“He (passenger) will be roaming out and there are high chances high that it (virus) can be spread in a big way. There should be solution worked out for them,” he said.
Goa Miles on Saturday announced a package of Rs 99 for four kilometers and also reduction in the fares by Rs 3 per kilometers.
Khot said that this is an attempt on behalf of the company to help people save money.
