Honda (Sattari) The villagers from Honda and surrounding area today donated 84 boxes of new clothes and other material for Goa Forward Party’s Kerala Relief Fund.
The material was handed over by the management of Shree Ajoba Devasthan committee at Honda in Sattari taluka to Goa Youth Forward’s Chief Raj Malik.
“When we called for the donations, the response for huge. Everyone was feeling the pain which people suffered in Kerala. We took up this initiative as a part of our temple activity,” Gurudas Samant, one of the senior member of the committee told The Goa News Hub.
He said that the material was initially kept in the temple premises before handing it over to Goa Forward Party.
When contacted, Malik said that the drive to collect relief material for Kerala flood victims is getting good response from across the state.
“We are thankful to Ajoba Temple committee for their kind gesture. We will ensure that the material which is collected from them reaches to the right people,” he said.
GFP is expected to send the relief material to Kerala this weekend or on Sunday.
