Panaji: Social activist Aishwarya Salgaonkar on Tuesday filed formal complaint with Goa State Women’s Commission against St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar, over his video vis-à-vis complaint filed against his brother.
Salgaonkar in her complaint has alleged that Borkar has disregarded serious allegations as “personal issues.”
The complaint reads “in a video circulated publicly, MLA Borkar has dismissed serious allegations against his brother Saiesh Borkar, as merely personal issues.”
“These allegations are pertaining to a complaint filed at Agassaim police station against Saiesh for misconduct against a woman.”
Salgaonkar in the past had demanded action against the MLA over his silence on the case filed against his brother and had also alleged that he was trying to interfere in the investigation.
