Panaji: The team of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi, which arrived in Goa on Tuesday evening, held discussion with the doctors at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) over the line of treatment given to Union Minister Shripad Naik.
A senior GMCH official said that the team of AIIMS arrived on Tuesday evening and later visited Naik. State Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was also present along with the team at GMCH.
“We are satisfied about his breathing, blood pressure and other health parameters. We have seen him and given advise to take him off the ventilator tomorrow,” one of the AIIMS team members told mediapersons late last night at GMCH.
Naik has been admitted in the hospital after he met with an accident at Karnataka. The GMCH has conducted four major surgeries on him.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was in Goa on Tuesday to meet Naik and also review the treatment given to him.
The minister had held meeting with GMCH doctors after which he had suggested that the experts from AIIMS should also be roped in to check line of treatment given to Naik.
