AAP will not be intimidated by the BJP! Stop misusing the police force to silence Goan voices

The Aam Aadmi Party today condemned the BJP’s misuse of the police force to intimidate AAP leaders and volunteers. Despite this intimidation the AAP stood firm that it would not back down and would continue to expose the nexus between the Congress and the BJP that has destroyed Goa. The AAP also highlighted the fact that the police have failed to take any action against the supporters of the Congress turned BJP MLA Wilfred D’sa “Babushan” who indulged in violence and assaulted peaceful AAP volunteers

AAP Goa’s volunteers had gone on the first day just to offer cake to the turncoat MLA. However we were met with violence. Even on the second day despite police presence the violence was repeated in the presence of the police and Media. It’s shocking that the police has started action not on the BJP who committed the violence but against AAP Leaders who faced the violence! AAP Goa Convenor Rahul Mhambre even received the notice while on mourning period for his fathers passing away. Along with Rahul Mhambre even AAP Goa Vice President Pratima Coutinho has received a notice.
Rahul Mhambre has been summoned to the Maina Curtorim police station at 11:30 am on the 17th of July. This despite there being no case at all.
“We are completely confident that we have nothing to fear. Infact we have all the evidence that it was Babushan’s followers who were violent!” said AAP Spokesperson Valmiki Naik, while showing photographs of the same. “This attack was done under the full protection of the police! We demand to know, that if there is so much evidence why has there been no action against the followers of Babushan? It’s very clear that the BJP has no response to the AAP campaign that has exposed their alliance with the Congress!” ” added Naik
“AAP is not here for power, but to change the system in Goa! And we will not be pressurised by any misuse of administrative power.” Said AAP Leader Sandesh Telekar Dessai. “We stand strongly with our leaders. Our party volunteers stand firmly with our leaders and no one will shake us” added Telekar Dessai.

“The fact of the matter is that the AAP was the only party on the ground helping Goans during the pandemic, from the hospitals to providing ration. The BJP has no response to why they were invisible during this time & that’s why they are trying to intimidate us” said Naik
