AAP Goa Vice President Pratima Coutinho quits the party

Panaji: AAP Goa State Vice President Pratima Coutinho on Wednesday tendered her resignation from the party citing “personal and professional reasons.”

 

 

 

In the resignation addressed to Party’s Nationa Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Coutinho said that the decision to quit the party was not taken hastily, but after careful consideration of her personal and professional goals.

 

 

 

Coutinho had joined AAP in the year 2022 ahead of Goa Legislative Assembly election. She is former chief of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee.

 

 

 

The resignation which was given mentions that it was time for her to explore other horizons and pursue other avenues in her career and personal life. “I believe that this decision aligns with my long term aspirations and growth. I am fearless lady and I work in my own ways to help Goa and Goans at large, and that is my priority right now,” she added.

 

 

 

Interestingly, Coutinho was appointed as State Vice President on the committee of AAP Goa which was announced on Tuesday.

 

 

 

When contacted, AAP Goa chief Amit Palekar said that he was surprised with the decision of Coutinho. “In fact, she had called me last night and had thanked me for her appointment on the new team,” he said.
